Readathon Hours 5 & 6

IMG_0479

Currently reading: Ascension by Jacqueline Koyanagi

And how is it? Still really enjoying it!

Pages read this hour: 8 (I took a break to cheer) & 45

Pages read in total: 224

Books finished: Searching for Whitopia by Rich Benjamin (the last 100 pages)

Food eaten: Peanut butter popcorn treats

Interruptions: Spent hour 5 cheering, chatted with my roommate some.

Anything else? It’s a shame so many tumblr people signed up for the readathon, but only about half are actually participating? Bit of a pain to go to cheer people on and they’re not actually doing it. Oh well!

Hey there! Cheering you on from Michigan! Sorry to hear that your cheering experience has been frustrating. I think that it is my favorite part of the read-a-thon!

It is fun! And I’ve been enjoying the cheering I have been doing, it’s just less rewarding to put “x”s into the spreadsheet instead of “1”s. Thanks for the cheer!

Irene from Team Mr. Popper here. I hope you’re enjoying the readathon so far. Please remember that it’s all about having fun, so if you feel more like snacking than reading, then go ahead. This event is the perfect excuse for snacking!
I’m sure you’ll reach your goal. You can do this!

I know putting the x’s on the spreadsheet is kind of a bummer, but that makes it extra fun when I get to leave a real cheer for someone. You’re cheering and reading and that is a whole lot of awesome. #TeamPopper is cheering you on!

It’s true! And I think at this point we’ve weeded out the non-participating people, so it should be all effective cheerleading from here.

Thanks for the cheer! #TeamPopper has been great to me!

You win first blog in my new feed reader that wants to be in both “books” and “queer things” and I have to decide 🙂 Happy readathon-ing!
